Eraser 2 stops snoopers
from spying on your activities by permanently erasing your history and
shredding any personal or incriminating data stored on your computer. It is
a powerful all-in-one suite that can clear your browser cache; securely
empty the Recycle Bin; delete temporary files and cookies; and wipe all trace
of your browsing history, typed web addresses, searches recent documents list
log files and more.

Eraser 2 has an attractive interface with a large central Scan button and three
smaller buttons that let you run a Quick Clean, Clean & Restart and Clean
& Shut down. The sidebar on the left lets you clean up after Windows browsers
and applications, and also access the file shredder, driver wiper and a tools section
that includes a start-up manager and System
Restore. Click the main Scan button and the program will quickly examine your
system (a full sweep takes seconds) and present you with a list of items that
can be removed. You can select the type of clean to perform and choose from a
list of deletion methods - from normal to Peter Guttman (which securely overwrites
data 35 times).
This
new version of the Software introduces an application uninstaller and support
for the Torch and k-Meleon browsers. It also cleans up after even more
applications including Adobe Premiere Pro CC, OpenOffice 4 and Sony Vegas Pro
12. Privacy Eraser Is now available in portable form, too, so you can run it
directly from a USB stick.
